Day 6 Curacao, Dutch Caribbean

Curacao cruises put you in the center of the Southern Caribbean's action. The port city has one notable museum, the Museo Etnohistorico de Limon, with cultural and historical exhibits relating to the local area. There is also the central market, full of souvenirs and local crafts. Puerto Limon is a good base for adventurous urban explorers.

Day 10 Panama Canal, Panama

The Panama Canal is a lock-type canal, owned and administered by the Republic of Panama, that connects the Atlantic and Pacific oceans through the narrow Isthmus of Panama. The length of the Panama Canal from shoreline to shoreline is about 40 miles, and from deep water in the Atlantic to deep water in the Pacific, about 50 miles. The canal, which was completed in August 1914, is one of the two most strategically important artificial waterways in the world.

The capital of Panama is Panama City, which may be found on the Pacific coast not far to the east of the Panama Canal. The financial and shipping centers of Central America are located in Panama City, the most developed city in the region. The city of Panama is home to delectable cuisine, a plethora of shopping opportunities, and a lively bar and club scene. Casco Viejo, the city's oldest neighborhood, preserves many of the buildings and streets from the time when the city was a major New World/Old World commerce center.
