Day 2 Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands

Day 4 Cartagena, Colombia

Originally called "Cartagena de Indias," Cartagena is one of the oldest cities in Colombia and an important port for the country. The port is a frequent stop for cruise ships in the southern Caribbean, especially those making the transit through the Panama Canal. What makes Cartagena so amazing is the sum of its many wonderful parts: its colonial, republican, and modern architecture; the allure of its lively nightlife; its cultural festivals; its exuberant landscapes; its magnificent beaches; its outstanding gastronomic offerings; and its significant hotel and tourism infrastructure. The city is like a colonial treasure trove available to the public, but it has much more to offer than just history and culture. The Old Town of Cartagena is a Unesco World Heritage Site, and it is a labyrinth of cobbled streets, balconies draped with bougainvillea, and massive churches whose shadows fall across plazas of lush vegetation.

Day 5 Panama Canal, Panama

The Panama Canal is a lock-type canal, owned and administered by the Republic of Panama, that connects the Atlantic and Pacific oceans through the narrow Isthmus of Panama. The length of the Panama Canal from shoreline to shoreline is about 40 miles, and from deep water in the Atlantic to deep water in the Pacific, about 50 miles. The canal, which was completed in August 1914, is one of the two most strategically important artificial waterways in the world.

Day 7 Puntarenas, Costa Rica

Puntarenas is the capital and largest city in the Province of Puntarenas, on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. Puntarenas sits on a long, narrow peninsula in the Gulf of Nicoya on the Central Pacific Coast. The area is blessed with large amounts of sunshine and warmth, as well as fantastic flora and fauna, radiant beaches, incredible eco adventure opportunities, and majestic national parks. Puntarenas and its surrounding area offer an excellent assortment of activities such as sea kayaking, sports fishing, and tours to Tortuga Island.

Day 8 Corinto, Nicaragua

Corinto is a town on the northwest Pacific coast of Nicaragua, in the province of Chinandega. In addition to having the main seaport of the country on its coasts, this small municipality also has several interesting sites. There is a nice central park in the urban area, where a massive seafood gastronomical fair is celebrated annually. Corinto also has simple but comfortable hotels, restaurants, and nice beaches, from which visitors can travel to smaller inhabited neighbor islands.

Day 9 Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala

Puerto Quetzal is Guatemala's largest Pacific Ocean port. It is important for both cargo traffic and as a stop-off point for cruise liners. Puerto Quetzal was named after Quetzales, Guatemala's national bird. Main sites are the old Mayan sites of Yaxha and Iximche, the Tikal National Park, which is home to the Mayan Pyramid of the Great Jaguar, Central Plaza, and two large acropolises.

Day 11 Acapulco, Mexico

Acapulco, in full Acapulco de Juarez, is a city and port in Mexico. Situated on a deep, semicircular bay, Acapulco is a resort with the best harbor on the Pacific coast of Mexico and one of the finest natural anchorages in the world. The town lies on a narrow strip of land between the bay and the steeply rising mountains that encircle it. Acapulco has become the "Riviera of Mexico" for tourists attracted by the climate, the many luxurious hotels, the excellent beaches, and deep-sea fishing.

Cabo San Lucas is a resort city at the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula, in the Mexican state of Baja California Sur, and it has been rated as one of Mexico's top 5 tourist destinations. Cabo San Lucas's white beaches, fecund waters, and spectacular arching stone cliffs at Land's End have become the backdrop for Baja's most raucous tourism.
