Day 4 Cartagena, Colombia

Originally called "Cartagena de Indias," Cartagena is one of the oldest cities in Colombia and an important port for the country. What makes Cartagena so amazing is the sum of its many wonderful parts: its colonial, republican, and modern architecture; the allure of its lively nightlife; its cultural festivals; its exuberant landscapes; its magnificent beaches; its outstanding gastronomic offerings; and its significant hotel and tourism infrastructure. The city is like a colonial treasure trove available to the public, but it has much more to offer than just history and culture. The Old Town of Cartagena is a Unesco World Heritage Site, and it is a labyrinth of cobbled streets, balconies draped with bougainvillea, and massive churches whose shadows fall across plazas of lush vegetation.

Day 5 Panama Canal, Panama

The Panama Canal is a lock-type canal, owned and administered by the Republic of Panama, that connects the Atlantic and Pacific oceans through the narrow Isthmus of Panama. The length of the Panama Canal from shoreline to shoreline is about 40 miles, and from deep water in the Atlantic to deep water in the Pacific, about 50 miles. The canal, which was completed in August 1914, is one of the two most strategically important artificial waterways in the world.
