Day 2 Cozumel, Mexico

Cozumel, a Caribbean island paradise, is just off the coast of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. Belize's jungle areas are home to Mayan ruins like Caracol, renowned for its towering pyramid, lagoon-side Lamanai, and Altun Ha, just outside Belize City.

Day 5 San Andres, Colombia

San Andres Island in Colombia is a hidden gem of the Caribbean that hardly anyone has heard of. San Andres is 480 kilometers northeast of the Colombian Caribbean coast, 180 kilometers east of Nicaragua, and north of the Panamanian coast. As a result, San Andres Island is unlike any other place in Colombia. The island is made up mostly of coral, has a vegetation consisting mostly of coconut trees, and has a highest point that is barely 55 meters above sea level. Palm trees, white sand beaches, clean water, pleasant weather, and a smattering of other islands complete the picture. Around the island and the adjacent cays, you may do scuba diving or snorkeling, and you won't be disappointed. The island is home to pristine ecosystems that are hard to locate elsewhere.

Day 6 Puerto Limon, Costa Rica

Puerto Limon is the biggest city on Costa Rica's Caribbean coast and the capital of Limon Province. A significant landmark of Limon is Parque Vargas, a waterfront park bordered by the sea wall. The port city has one notable museum, the Museo Etnohistorico de Limon, with cultural and historical exhibits relating to the local area. There is also the central market, full of souvenirs and local crafts. Puerto Limon is a good base for adventurous urban explorers.

Day 7 Bocas Del Toro, Panama

Beautiful Bocas del Toro is an archipelago in the northern Caribbean Sea, just off Panama's isthmus. The capital of the Bocas del Toro archipelago, Bocas Town, can be found at the southernmost tip of Isla Colon. Although Bocas Town is the area's hub, it is nevertheless quite compact and simple to navigate. This is where much of the action takes place, so expect a vibrant city scene as well as untamed beaches and beautiful vegetation. Shop for handcrafted goods as you stroll around Bocas Town. Live music can be found at many of the restaurants that overlook the water in downtown Bocas, where you can also take in the vibrant ambiance of this busy port town.

Day 8 Panama Canal, Panama

The Panama Canal is a lock-type canal, owned and administered by the Republic of Panama, that connects the Atlantic and Pacific oceans through the narrow Isthmus of Panama. The length of the Panama Canal from shoreline to shoreline is about 40 miles, and from deep water in the Atlantic to deep water in the Pacific, about 50 miles. The canal, which was completed in August 1914, is one of the two most strategically important artificial waterways in the world.
